Duel at the top between Jonathan Rea and Álvaro Bautista for today's victory at MotorLand Aragón

The first races of the weekend kicked off

Up to 9 sporting events of the Motul FIM Superbikes 2022 World Championship could be seen today, Saturday, at MotorLand Aragón. A day full of activities in which the big winner was Jonathan Rea who took first place in the Superbike race. Alvaro Bautista was very close to him and even took the lead, but ended up being behind the Northern Irishman with a difference of only 90 thousandths of a second. Turkish rider Toprak Razgatlioglu suffered problems with his front tire and finished third despite having taken pole position in qualifying. The other two Spanish representatives, Iker Lecuona and Xavi Vierge, concluded their first race in the category finishing sixth and seventh, respectively. At 12:40 the first race of the Supersports 300 was held, dominated by the duel between the two Spaniards, Marc Garcia and Alvaro Diaz for the first position and won by Garcia, 4.479 seconds behind his rival. The third driver on the podium was the German Lennox Lehmann, who made an epic comeback from 25th position and had to face the following 8 drivers throughout the race, who remained within thousandths of a second of each other until the last corner. The last race of the day was the Supersports race, in which Baldassarri and Aegerter maintained a rivalry from the early stages to the end, with the Italian Lorenzo Baldassarri beating the Swiss Dominique Aegerter. Can Oncu, rider from Turkey, was the third man on the podium, while Spaniard Adrián Huertas managed to climb five positions to enter the top ten in ninth place.

The fans, the Superpoles and racing have been the main protagonists, but this weekend MotorLand Aragon also has also offered different experiences for all audiences. Today, Saturday, the youtuber ByViruzz went to the circuit in Alcañiz to enjoy the motorcycles and a personalized visit throughout the facilities in order to to learn about the championship from the inside, as well as the students of the Journalism Degree of the Universidad San Jorge, who had the opportunity to walk through the pit lane, visit the media room, the Parc Fermé, go out to the starting grid and attend a talk by the press manager of Kawasaki Racing Team, as well as see the technical in and outs of the broadcasting of this sporting event.

The roar of the more than 320 kilometers per hour that the Superbikes reach will be felt again at MotorLand Aragón this Sunday with races in all categories and another Superpole in the Superbikes, where Bautista will seek revenge on his rival. In addition, attendees will be able to enjoy the paddock show with the riders and do a lap on the track with their own bike at the end of the last race of the day, with prior registration.

The circuit will open its doors at 8:00 am tomorrow Sunday, where you can enjoy the show until 6:00 pm. Tickets can still be purchased through the website or directly at the ticket offices of the circuit. Superbike Superpole will be held at 11.00. The races will start at 12.30 (Supersports), continue at 14.00 (Superbikes) and finish at 15.15 with Supersports 300. After the last race, the Bike Parade Lap will take place for all the fans who want to ride their own motorcycle around the circuit and live a unique experience.
