Turkish rider Toprak Razgatlioglu leads his Yamaha YZF R1 on the first day of practice.
After a long preseason, the 2021 MOTUL FIM Superbike World Championship has started with the first free practice session at MotorLand Aragón.
Toprak Razgatlioglu leads the training sessions, ahead of Chaz Davies.
The Team Pata Yamaha with BRIXX WorldSBK rider, T. Razgatlioglu, was the fastest on the first day of free practice at the Aragonese circuit, thanks to the good time he had done (1'49.952) with his Yamaha YZF R1 in the session morning.
Chaz Davies with his Ducati followed closely, the GoEleven rider finished with a time of 1'50.260, followed in third place by Garrett Gerloff and his Yamaha (1'50.442). While Alex Lowes has achieved a fourth position with his Kawassaki ZX-10RR (1´50.498) and in fifth place for Rea with a time of 1´50.690.
Álvaro Bautista has finished fourth in the second session (1'50,814), positioning himself as the best of the Spanish in this session and eighth in today's general classification. Tito Rabat will start in thirteenth position and Viñales in thirteenth.
The best pace of the WorldSSP FP1 has been set by Niki Tuuli
The Finnish rider, Niki Tuuli of MV Agusta Corse Clienti, has starred in the first SSP free session at the Pirelli Round of Aragon by dominating clearly from the first minutes and maintaining the first position until the end with a best time of 1.54.394 .
Rookie Dominique Aegerter (Ten Kate Racing) was sixth with a time less than a second behind Tuuli.
For the nationals, the best position in FP2 has been for Miguel González in tenth place with 1'55.870, placing 13th in the overall classification.
Miguel Alcoba in the second practice has been fourteenth with 1'56.299 and in the general classification he is placed in ninth place entering directly into the top ten in his category.
The Spanish SuperSport300 Drivers dominate the first half of the table.
In the review of the WorldSSP300, the Spanish with the best time in the second session was Adrian Huertas with the Kawasaki Ninja 400 of Team MTM Kawasaki with 2'08.336, finishing fourth in the afternoon session. In the overall standings, he is 3 spots behind his teammate J.Buis and will start in sixth place.
The young Unai Orradre of the Yamaha MS Racing team was the fastest in the category with a time of 2'06.814.
Adrián Carrión and Alejandro Diez Rodríguez from Team Kawasaki GP Project both suffered a crash that left them out of the classification for the second practice session.

Tomorrow there will be a single free WorldSBK training session at 9:00 a.m. This is followed by the Tissot Superpole Race in each category: WorldSSP300 (9:45 am), WorldSSP (10:25 am) and WorldSBK (11:10 am).
From 12:45 hours the excitement will begin with the first races of each category, first the WorldSSP300 will be played (12:45 hours), followed by the WorldSBK (14:00 hours) and WorldSSP (16:20 hours) .
