The Spanish riders attended a Meet & Greet in Zaragoza organized by MotorLand Aragón for the fans this morning.

Spanish riders Álvaro Bautista, Iker Lecuona and Adrián Huertas were cheered on by fans at Aragón today ahead of the first round of the Superbike World Championship, which takes place this weekend at MotorLand Aragón.

 

After meeting journalists from various media during the morning, the three riders went to MotoCard (Paseo Pamplona, 5) to meet the fans before starting their engines at the Alcañiz circuit. The first 100 lucky ones who came to see their idols were able to get a signature of their favorite rider, plus all of them entered in a raffle and four fans were even luckier and won two double passes to the paddock, courtesy of Dorna Sports. It was an access to the most exclusive side of Superbikes Championship that these fans will never forget.

Jonathan Rea tops the WorldSBK timesheet in the previous two-day test at MotorLand Aragón.

 

It was a tight battle for the world championship in the previous tests held this Monday and Tuesday (April 4 and 5) at the MotorLand Aragón circuit, the four fastest riders on the grid were barely separated by a few tenths of a second, showing how exciting this first race of the world championship calendar is going to be. The fastest of them in the combined results of the two days was Jonathan Rea (1:48.714), followed by reigning champion Toprak Razgatliouglu (1:49.068) and third place went to Álvaro Bautista (1:49.094) just 0.380s off the leader. In fourth place was Garrett Gerloff. While Iker Lecuona was eighth in the combined and Xavi Vierge was ninth.

All the riders will face each other at the MotorLand Aragón circuit from Friday 8 to Sunday 10, in a weekend in which the weather forecast is favorable and they expect to have highs up to 24º C.
