The big event of the championship took place this Sunday at the Karting Internacional de Motorland Aragón.

A weekend where electric karts have shone in all their splendour has come to an end. The drivers of the Open España eKarting 2021 and the Rental Karting Electric Race arrived at the International Karting Circuit of Motorland Aragón on Friday and Saturday to make contact with the track and their ekarts in the private tests.

The competition has been characterised by the equality of conditions among the eKarting participants, as they all compete with the same electric motor. Therefore, the driving qualities of each rider is the only thing that made the difference during the weekend.

Vincenzo Marinov, winner of the first three Open races

The day started at 8.20 a.m. with the first Qualifying of the two electric karting races held today at Motorland.

Eight drivers fought it out in the four Open races. Vicenzo Marinov dominated the first three races, while in the last race of the day, the victory went to Ellis Spiezia, with Marinov in second position.

The final classification of the Open de España eKarts 2021 was as follows: first Vincenzo Marinov with 80 points, second Ellis Spiezia (67 points) and in third position on the podium Adrian Pruñonosa with 53 points.

The event, of a regional nature, was held with rental karts, where the participants competed alongside professional drivers. Laura Aparicio, from Alcañiz, came fifth in her group, just outside the final, where the first four classified in each group took part.

Pol Caubin took first place on the podium, followed by V. Marinov and Jon Bikendi in third place.
