Santiago Abad, head director of the master's degree highlights the importance of the day focused on the knowledge of the circuit by the students.
Motorland Aragón hosts the first promotion of motorsport engineering master’s degree. A total of 30 students from more than 15 provinces of Spain and Portugal have participated their first practical session in our facilities.
This master's degree of 1,500 hours combines online and face-to-face training with the aim of acquiring the necessary knowledge to be able to work in the motorsport sector.
A total of 10 hands-on sessions will be held, which will clash with track activity and top-notch events such as SuperBikes or MotoGp. Moment when they will experience the reality of Motorsport and the technical tension with which they work in pits.
The master's degree began in early January and the time has come to put into practice the knowledge acquired so far.
The day began in the first hour with the reception of the Managing Director of Motorland and Director of the Master’s practices in Motorsport Engineering, Santiago Abad, and Alberto Egido, Manager of the SEAS.
Then they visited the facilities, met the slopes, and attended the training session with Jeremy Alcoba at International Karting. Jeremy is a Spanish motorcycle racer who participates in the Moto3 category and became in 2020 Rookie of the Year in Moto 3.

The students have known the WTCR Cupra Leon by the explanation of Imanol Zubikarai, engineer and teacher of the master’s degree.
In addition, during the day they have attended several masters classes, on racing vehicles.
The first session was given by Miquel Gimeno, Doctor engineer at the University of Nottingham where he works leading the electric motorcycle racing team and has explained to students the electric competition.
Later, Imanol Zubikarai Industrial Engineer with 23 years of experience in competition, has told them about the role of the competition engineer in championships such as the WTCR.
Thanks to the collaboration agreement between the Government of Aragón and the San Valero Group, the teaching of this Master is being possible, with the online technical training of SEAS Estudios Abiertos combined with the knowledge and practice provided by MotorLand Aragón in the world of Motorsport.
