World Series are considered one of the most emblematic and important events all over the world. This will be the ninth time for it to visit MotorLand Aragón. There will be 3 categories on the event: World Series V8 3.5; Clio Cup Spain, and F4 Spain.
The event goes beyond sport, since the World Series stream involve many activities and exhibitions that are held at the same time as track activities. Therefore, the event is thought to be homely and acclimated by the visitors. During the full event many activities are coached:
- Kids Zone: the smallest of the paddock have a reserved within the paddock with amusements and activities.
- Game Zone: visitors would have the chance of feeling the adrenaline with the simulators.
- Road traffic safety activities.
- Red Bull Racing F1 Area.
- Merchandising Zone.
- Pit lane walk: again, people will be able to meet drivers and gaze at the spectacular formulas at the autograph and photograph session with the upcoming F1 stars.
- Free-access paddock: one of the most charming parts of the event will be the possibility of taking a walk around the paddock for free. Motion at the pit garages, trailers and the fantastic climate surrounding the teams, drivers, and the organization of the event creates an unmatched scene.
Like every year, a Formula 1single-seater, will entertain the event with 4 exhibitions throughout Alcañiz’s track. Lasts events were the R30 from Lotus Renault GP, the R29 and the R28, the single-seaters shown driven by Fauzy, D’Ambrossio and Di Grassi respectively. Five years ago, fans watched the single-seater that knows what is to win a F1 Championship both drivers and Constructors Championship, the RB6 from Red Bull Racing Team with Jean-Eric Vergne driving it. In 2013 fans saw again the single-seater that won the F1 Championship the last year. The Red Bull RB8 was on the track with Daniel Ricciardo as driver. In 2014, Antonio Felix Da Costa was the driver in the show. In 2015, the F1 exhibition were be in charge of the Toro Rosso driver Carlos Sainz. Last year, Sergio Sette drove the Red Bull RB8 during the F1 shows. And this season, Patrick Friesacher, who drove for Minardi in 2005, will be the driver on the shows (two on Saturday, and two on Sunday).
World Series drivers were nourishing Formula 1
This championship is considered one of the steps before arise Formula 1. Lasts years, many drivers jumped to the top category fell back on World Series. Fernando Alonso and Stoffel Vandoorne (McLaren), Sebastian Vettel (Ferrari), Daniel Ricciardo (Red Bull Racing), Romain Grosjean and Kevin Magnussen (Haas), Valteri Bottas (Mercedes), and Carlos Sainz and Daniel Kvyat (Toro Rosso) are the current drivers participating in the F1 Championship who raced in World Series.
Two big spectator areas for the World Series
MotorLand has prepared everything according to the significance of the event. With the grandstand on the main straight, there will be two spectator areas ready to receive fans. The grandstand on the main straight that will enable fans to enjoy the action in the pit garages, as well as the start and finish of the races and the overtaking in turn 1. Grandstand 6 is located in parallel to the back straight of the circuit, providing a view of the more than one-kilometre long straight and the strong braking before turn 16, in addition to the ascent towards the main straight. There will be giant screens in booth grandstands. The paddock will be also open for all the fans.
Moreover, there will be an additional grandstand at Grandstand 6 especially aimed at disabled persons. To make access easier for them, there will be also an exclusive car park within Car Park E, very close to the special grandstand and only a few metres from the respective access gate. Showing the disabled ID at the gate, the cars will be allowed to access this car park. There will be adapted WCs at the grandstand, as well as a snack-bar and a giant TV screen. Disabled people may also park their cars at the Welcome Centre car park in order to have an easier access to the paddock using a free transport service from the Welcome Centre to the paddock (tower E).

Sunday: Qualifying - 15 minutes.
Sunday: Race 3 – 25 minutes + 1 lap.
